Remember when Twitter was bought by Elon Musk and everyone started leaving to go to different Social Media networks? Yeah, well, I never left Twitter, but wanted to try out the other social media networks like Hive and Mastodon. While I have accounts on both now, I have stayed on Mastodon cause of many things, one mainly being the people there.

That being said, there was an open source project that allowed for you to reskin the interface to look like the old Google Plus. I loved this application, but it was riddled with bugs and a lot of it didn’t work to well. So, as a developer I took the project on to fix it. But, instead of just fixing it, I made it my own. I forked the project and I now call it, MastoPlus!

I wish I had more time to work on it, but I fixed it up a bit and have been enjoying programming in TypeScript and VueJS. I am thinking about adding some backend features to it, so that people can use it with a little bit more features and maybe even a Google Plus Community tab and more customization.

This requires a lot more programming, and although I would love to do this, I am not sure how much this is going to cost. As of right now, I think I will just try and fix a few bugs as it stands, but, I can not guarantee I can add new features as I would like.

Anyway, go take a look at the website if you have a Mastodon account!
