Good morning!

A few (Most) of you don’t know me. If you do know me, you probably don’t know me anywhere near well enough to say you actually know me. And if you don’t fall into either of those two groups, then I guess I *might* be obligated to give you a small introduction.

Who am I? I’m a person who likes lists, so let’s start one.

I:

  • like Cheez-Its.
  • have a good background in technology.
  • am always eager to learn.
  • always like telling people about what I learn.
  • know too much.
  • like lists.

Over the coming weeks, I will be publishing a series on the topic of, you guessed it, Virtualization. Of course, this is a bit different than the normal tone of things for this site, but I like change. Change is good.  (Especially pocket change. Doubly so when you have the 65 cents required to buy a soda in the vending machine of our office basement…)

The goal of the series is to give you an in depth understanding of virtualization. Will we succeed in our quest? Only time will reveal that answer, but in the meantime, here is a tentative outline. (That is, naturally, subject to being changed.)

  1. Kick-Start to Virtualization
  2. What is Virtualization?
  3. Types of Virtualization
  4. Why Virtualization?

It should be pointed out that the above is just an outline, and not necessarily a single post. (In Layman’s terms, Josh will want to stab me with a fork to get me to shut up about Virtualization by the time it is said and done. I’m not sorry in advance 🙂 )

To that end, I’ll be seeing you next time as we consider that second topic, “What is Virtualization?”
