This is an extremely hard choice. I have been with Firefox all my life, well after the AOL days, and I would hate to turn my back on them. However, with the time I have spent with Chrome, I think I may have falling in love again for the second time.
Every time I use Chrome, I feel like I am cheating on Firefox. I have invested a bunch of time in creating applications and setting up sync with all my computers. But after seeing how fast chrome is, I want to make the switch. Not only that, but Firefox freezes on my work computer. My home computer is a “super computer” so it can handle Firefox’s issues, but not all the time.
You the reader, which one should I go with? Should I stay with Firefox and wait out for bugs to get ironed out? Or should I go to where the grass is greener, chrome?

Well , actually , when Chrome freezes the whole browser is frozen. I have to log off and log back on . Chrome is doing this a lot. So I have gone back to Firefox which seldom ever freezes.
Also , I don’t like chromes new updates. When I clicked to launch Chrome , Chrome’s appplication page launches instead and I hate that. Not tolerable for me. So there are more that one reason have left Chrome.
I am actually in a similar situation. I love the look of the new Firefox, and the performance is greatly improved, but Chrome is faster. Now i have not had any issues with FF freezing on any of my machines. In fact, I have had more issues with Chrome, be it slight page interaction issues, java crashes. etc. But they do not overshadow the speed factor, and the issues seem to be growing fewer and fewer with each new release. Plus there is is the ease of transition between Google services afforded in Chrome that you do not get in FF. If you sign into Chrome, you never have to sign into other services. FF I have to sign into Youtube, etc.
I have not used Chrome enough to see any freezing, however that is some great points you brought out. I did notice that when Chrome freezes, it freezes just the Tab on not the whole browser, where as in FireFox, the whole browser freezes.
I use a great addon called Gmail Manager that I customized that allows me to login to different Google services, so I do not have much of a problem in that area. Plus with LastPass you can sign into website with random passwords.
I think I will post a firefox addon subject, as a lot of the addons I currently have are not all ported over to Chrome yet, so I’d hate to make the switch.
Do you have a twitter? I’ll follow you, mine is @MrJoshuaPack
The reason why chrome doesn’t crash like FF is because each tab, more or less, is treated as a separate process from all the others. Hence, you can lose a tab and be fine in most cases.
It is a very rare thing for me to suffer complete browser loss.
